MBS Annual Exhibit
June 8-9, 2024
MBS is honored to have Rick Garcia as our guest artist in June at Boerner August at Boerner Botanical Garden.
Rick Garcia, graduated from El Dorado School of Satsuki Bonsai and become a certified Satsuki bonsai instructor. He continued his studies in Japan with the world-renowned Satsuki master,
Suisho Nakayama, President of the Japanese Satsuki Association. Rick continues with studies to the present day and has been teaching Satsuki Bonsai for over 23 years.
Call for Trees: MBS members interested in having their bonsai or tree in training included in the exhibit should
register. Your exhibit participation is critical.

Grant Park Exhibit
June 22, 2024
The South Milwaukee Historical Society and The Friends of Grant Park are hosting a City Garden Tour on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 9am – 4pm
and MBS is featured as a stop in Grant Park on this tour.
Members are encouraged to bring a tree to work on. Every one is welcome!

MBS members wishing to volunteer at the bonsai exhibit at Lynden Sculpture Garden (LSG) for the 2024 season are asked to meet for lunch/ orientation/ cleanup. See the newsletter for details. No experience is necessary

We are very lucky to have many distinguish bonsai enthusiast in our club. We have just a wealth of knowledge available at meetings,
workshops, and just generally available to us. Jack Douthitt, Steve Carini, Ron Fortmann, Pam Woythal are just a few names of the
members with a boatload of experience. We also have a new generation of bonsai enthusiast like Brian Susler, Keven Stoeveken and Scott D.
We are looking forward to increasing our Club membership this year. What this means is that you are more likely to mingle with bonsai enthusiast,
to make new friends, and to enjoy the glorious activities we have planned. So don’t delay…. Renew today.
